BEWARE IN WINTER! I could come back in Summer - decent budget hotel. Mostly lovely staff, good restaurant. However, the heating only comes on in the bathroom? It was in the minuses! Obviously I'm a grown woman and I wasn't going to stay in the cold - would have left if I wasn't there for work- so conveniently 5 mins away was an Argos I bought the fan heater to keep me smiling at the nice staff.
I stayed in the Crown for 3 months while i was working in Hull, i thoroughly enjoyed my stay, Nikki and Mark were brilliant hosts and even put a toaster/fridge and cereal on the landing for our use, meals were excellent and beer was good. We also had use of the washing machine and dryer. All in all an excellent place to stay
Spiders. I had to kill 5 spiders with arachnophobia. The food was alright beds not very comfortable but if you need to stay for a night its reasonable.
Nice warm comfortable rooms. Basic breakfast, do it yourself toast, tea,coffee and cereal. Staff very welcoming and friendly.
Basic does what it says on the tin. Bed was pretty decent, not too soft. Breakfast portions looked big but very few veggie options on offer and as a vegan it was pretty much a no-go. Still would recommend if you need to stay in the area for the price.
